The Institute of Mining Engineers of Peru (IIMP) and the Organizing Committee of the World Mining Congress (WMC) 2026 announced the official opening of registrations for the upcoming edition, to be held from June 24 to 26, 2026, in Lima, Peru. The organization reported that an early bird pre-sale period has been launched and will run until March 31, offering preferential and differentiated rates, especially designed for IIMP members, students, and faculty.
With more than 3,000 attendees expected, World Mining Congress 2026 will consolidate its position as one of the leading global forums for strategic reflection on mining, convening business leaders, government authorities, academics, researchers, and specialists from across the five continents.
Under the premise of rethinking and redefining the future of mining, the Congress will address the industry’s major challenges in the context of the energy transition, global electrification, the rising demand for critical minerals, and the urgency to accelerate projects in a responsible, sustainable, and socially legitimate manner.
